DENIA, COSTA BLANCA |
Denia is a delightful, cosmopolitan, seaside town on the northern Costa Blanca, dominated by its impressive 16th century castle. The town is rich in history and culture, and its architecture is a testament to the many civilisations that have made their mark here, including Roman, Arab and Christian. Denia is also a gastronomic haven boasting over 300 restaurants ranging from simple tapas to 2 star Michelin indulgence. There are plenty of museums and churches to investigate, and a few minutes walk from the main street is the yacht marina, the port with its ferry terminal serving the Balaeric islands, and a lovely long sandy beach. Indeed, the Denia beaches stretch for 20 km and are renowned for their safety and cleanliness. Visit www.denia.net for a full flavour of the area.
