Trujillo the birthplace of many of the Spanish Conquistadors, most notably Francisco Pizarro, the conqueror of Peru, is an ancient city of great architectural and historical importance dominating an extensive plain in Extremadura, and crowned by its Moorish castle. Winding up through the narrow cobbled streets of the medieval part of Trujillo are diverse 16th century noble palaces with semi-fortified towers, adding to the charming authentic atmosphere.


It is the centre of a lively cultural and gastronomic activity with many markets, fiestas and festivals throughout the year.

The House:

The House is a private villa located near the Castle, in the medieval area of Trujillo 5 minutes walk from the main square. It is an extremely spacious and well arranged family home with a wealth of original stone features, high ceilings and impressive reception rooms. Its lovely secluded garden is on two levels high above street level with uninterrupted views over the countryside towards Portugal and the Gredos mountains. It can sleep up to 8 adults and comprises

250 km south west of Madrid in Extremadura. 2 hours from Madrid airport on a motorway by car. Regular bus route. Reliable driver able to collect groups or individuals.
