Provence, Vaucluse, France
The Vaucluse is one of the most scenic and idyllic areas of southern France. This Provencal farmhouse is set in its own gardens in the heart of countryside. Aix en Provence and Avignon are in easy reach, as are the vineyards of Gigondas, Beaumes de Venise and Chateauneuf du Pape. It is a terrific base for touring, cycling or walking in the Luberon, southern Rhone and Vaucluse. There are numerous local villages and restaurants to explore; the less energetic can just luxuriate amidst very fine scenery.
The House:
The House is a fine property, comprising an 18th century provencal farmhouse, garden with mature trees and shrubs, a swimming pool and vines, enjoying a magical location south of the Mont Ventoux.
The farmhouse has its original beams throughout, and is restored to a high standard. It has a south-facing gravel courtyard, part-shaded by trees, ideal both for dining and for boulistes.
